Introducing True Stories Academy!

I'm so excited to launch these NEW live, online Diverse Book Clubs & Writing Classes for Kids!

For years, I homeschooled my kids (or, really, hybrid-schooled, because lots of it was not me and not at home!). I loved teaching them diverse history (with nonfiction books!) and finding them creative online classes with great teachers. As they now move on to college, I wanted to find a way to offer these gems to the next generation of kids out there — who will need access to diverse history and creative, inclusive online learning options more than ever!

So, I'm launching True Stories Academy — first classes begin next week! (June 2025)

In collaboration with WordPlay, a teaching collective of published authors, and using the Outschool platform (which my own kids used for years), I'm teaching real-time, online "True Stories Book Clubs" and writing classes for kids age 6-15. I'm also offering "True Stories Book Author Chats" (like small-group author visits!) directly through Outschool, which you can schedule individually for 6-16 kids.
